Native American Church

First of all my religion is Native American Church (NAC). This all begin hundred of hundred of years ago that has been passed on from generation to generation. I'm still learning the concept of our culture. The way we sing, pray, and contribute of thoughts to mother earth and to the holy spirits. It brings happiness to me that I am a Navajo.

The teepee is faced toward the east and when you enter you go around counterclockwise. The moon is represented as our life span.
The reason we have peyote meetings is someone or the family is getting a blessing done for whatever reason they need it for.
The peyote meetings start in the evening and end till the next morning to sing, share our thoughts, and to pray to mother earth for the blessings that are given to the family or the person. We stay up all night eating peyote for saying thanks for the herb thats going to help the person.

I believe in our religion because my grandfather was a medicine man and he made me believe into our culture.

It is a blessing to be apart of good religion and culture.

Here is a song you listen to that is a peyote song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2j8zmPfXDA
