Cross Country and Track & Field SG#5

Well when I was a freshman in high school, I never really thought about running. When I was a eighth grader I never liked running even though I was in sports. I use to cheat alot on my running and always found excuses to not to run.

Once I got into high school, my attitude change and I was always quiet. So one stress reliever for me was running. So I joined cross country and I made the team. I always had confidence in myself when I would run. Our coach would drop us off down the canyon and we had to run all the way back to the school which would be like 4-5 miles long.

The first was a challenge, I wanted to cry and felt like giving up but my coach made me realize that I could do it and he was there for me every time I felt down. The next day I woke up I was so sore and didn't even go to school on how sore I was. I was in bed all day.

But as time went on I had the courage, support, and motivation to make it to state that year which I came in like 73rd place which was bad for a first timer. So every since then I look up to my coach for the times he pushed me and gave me the motivation.
